For our 10th anniversary, we are fulfilling a long-cherished wish to rediscover a classic. Join us in looking forward to Heyoka's A Midsummer Night's Dream – an enchanting musical festival spectacle with a large, colorful ensemble. For us, the stage is a magical place, in the literal sense. There is a special kind of magic that arises from the live experience, from the direct contact between actors and audience. There is always a bit of risk involved, something unpredictable, wild, something we can neither define nor predict. A Midsummer Night's Dream celebrates theater as a magical space. What happens when perception is twisted and altered here? When I suddenly love what I previously feared? When I am suddenly attracted to what I previously found repulsive? When what I think no longer corresponds to what I feel? When woman and man, donkey and elf suddenly become one, am I then many? What is normal, what is different, what is crazy? And do we humans really always have the upper hand? From the healing chaos and turmoil of relationships and emotions, a colorful new order emerges in the end, blessed by the spirits and celebrated by the audience.
